Dry Powder & Carbon Dioxide Extinguishers for Electrical Hazards, Flammable Liquids & Gases

Dry Powder is a highly versatile medium for tackling most types of fire. It is extremely effective with electrical hazards, flammable liquids and gases, which making it ideal for vehicle fires.

Carbon Dioxide fire extinguishers are ideal for electrical fires or flammable liquid fires. CO2 is harmless to electrical equipment and so is ideal for offices and workshops. Both dry powder and carbon dioxide extinguishers have non-conductive, anti-static horns.

Dry Powder Multi Purpose Fire Extinguisher

Dry Powder & Carbon Dioxide Extinguishers for Electrical Hazards, Flammable Liquids & GasesThese versatile fire extinguishers are ideal for any application whether home or business, as they can be used on class A, B and C fires. They can also be used where electrical equipment is involved. These extinguishers are available in a range of sizes, to accommodate various spaces around the home, office, large premises or truck cab.

Note Regarding Indoor Use of Dry powder
Dry powders are not suitable for indoor use, unless mitigated by a Health & Safety Risk Assessment.

ABC Powder Extinguishers

ABC Powder is a multi-purpose extinguisher medium suitable for all classes of fire, however although effective, a Powder Extinguisher will leave a residue that can damage sensitive electrical equipment. If this is a concern it may be wise to use a CO2 Extinguisher.1KG & 2KG models come complete with transport brackets and are ideal for transport applications.

Capacity 1KG / 2KG / 4KG / 6KG / 9KG
Kitemarked to BS EN3 & fully CE marked
Fire Rating 8A / 13A / 21A /34A / 43A
6KG & 9KG sizes have plastic protection bases which incorporates a hose stowage socket.

Carbon Dioxide for Electrical Fires, Flammable Liquids & Gases

These fire extinguishers contain only carbon dioxide [CO2 gas] in a highly compressed format (55 bar pressure). An inert gas, which will evaporate without trace and starves a fire of oxygen thus suffocating it, CO2 will expand through the jet (horn), becoming very cold. Carbon dioxide extinguishers are pressurised so must not be stored adjacent to heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight. This could cause the safety valve to release some of the CO2, giving you a less effective product.

Fire Logistics’ Carbon dioxide extinguishers are supplied with non-conductive anti-static discharge horns. Always use the extinguisher with the horn fitted as this acts as a pressure reducer. If removed, the CO2 fire extinguisher will discharge rapidly and the consequent violent recoil could cause serious injury.

CO2 Extinguishers for Class B Fires

CO2 Extinguishers for Class B FiresC02 extinguishers are suitable for electrical hazard and Class B Fires involving flammable liquids like petrol, diesel and oils. These extinguishers are supplied with non-conductive anti-static discharge horns. Ideal for workshop, industrial and office environments, CO2 is also non damaging to electrical equipment and machinery.
